"At 89," which Pete has announced will be his last new CD, is a summary of his lifelong dedication to the use of music in bringing people together, whether to celebrate shared humanity or to inspire sociopolitical action. The songs on "At 89" address issues of fellowship, peace, the environment, ecology, personal responsibility, bridging cultural gaps, and the urgent need for both action and cooperation to affect change.
